The two EC directives, 2002/96/EC on electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE guidelines) and 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS), were put into German legislation with the law known as ElektroG.

Zentro-Elektrik is a producer of electronically controlled power supply units and electronic DC loads.
Implementation of the RoHS Guidelines
All of our production equipment and production procedures are suitable for manufacturing products that conform to RoHS.
Our products therefore correspond with the RoHS Guidelines in accordance with Directive 2002/95/EC.
Until further notice our laboratory power supply units and electronic DC loads fall under the exceptions listed in § 5 of the Guidelines for equipment of Category 9, “Monitoring and Control Instruments”.
Although our laboratory power supply units and DC loads are assigned to product category 9, “Monitoring and Control Instruments” and therefore do not have to conform to RoHS, we will also convert production of these products so that they are RoHS compliant.
Schedule:
The initial delivery date for RoHS compliant products depends on current stocks and the availability of RoHS compliant components. Our sales department can give exact information about the availability and delivery date of RoHS compliant products on request. The latest initial delivery date for RoHS compliant products is 01.07.2006.
Implementation of the WEEE Guidelines
The products put into circulation by Zentro-Elektrik are, according to an examination of the product range and an evaluation in accordance with all available publications from the EAR (German National Register) Foundation and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, exempt from the scope of the WEEE Guidelines contained in ElektroG ((§2 Secton 1, Sentence 1 of ElektroG).
Laboratory power supply units and electronic DC loads are generally used in suit as part of a measuring device. These appliances also do not have to be registered therefore.
