30.11.2011 | Successful Autumn Trade Shows

With two consecutive trade shows, productronica (15.-18.11.11) in Munich and SPS in Nuremberg (22.-24.11.11) the Zentro sales team had an interesting challenge on their hands. The focus in Munich was on battery and power electronics. Our products battery charger for eMobility and industrial applications as well as electronic loads for battery test stands found great interest.

The visitors at SPS Nuremberg were interested in the complete Zentro product range displayed on the Zentro stand. The show was an ideal opportunity for customers of the power industry, automation & test or eMobility & transport industry to have hands-on talks with the Zentro experts and to discuss their specific requirements for custom power supplies.

They kept the Zentro team extremely busy throughout the show in front and behind the scenes.

15.07.2011 | DC/DC Converter - Quick Service

short leadtime for 100/200 VA GWH and GWN Converters

The new Zentro-production process allows us to announce a quick production for all standard types of the GWH and GWN Converter series

20.04.2011 | HMI 2011

HMI 2011 - Zentro-Elektrik in the field of renewable energy

As in previous years, Zentro-Elektrik was represented with its exhibition stand in the Fuel Cells exhibition section. Customers were particularly interested in all aspects of their products for solar technology and battery charging and battery testing systems.

In the forum Zentro-Elektrik presented the Intelligent Harvester, a battery charger which is designed for the operation of solar panels independently of the mains. Parallel operation permits entire fields to be equipped. This device stands out thanks to its very high efficiency and flexibility in the choice of battery types (fuel cell or Li-Ion battery).

Zentro-Elektrik showed Li-Ion battery chargers in the 230 and 350 Watt power ranges e.g. for e-bikes/e-mobility applications.
Zentro offers both 0 Volt loads and digital loads (60V - 800V) for equipping test benches for testing single fuel cells.

In particular, the discussion about smart grid technologies demands frequent updating/replacement of components in a medium-voltage power grid. Zentro showed digital transducers for this purpose.

An interesting exhibition week is drawing to a close – Here is our résumé:
The modernisation of mains grids, the use of new charging concepts and the testing technology required for these are the themes of the future. The specialist discussions at the exhibition were rewarding for us. Competence packed into the smallest space!

10.08.2009 | Power 3000Watt

Microcontroller based – digitally controlled DC Load Electronic DC Load

Zentro-Elektrik is announcing topically with its electronic DC load series DCL3000 a load for highest demands.

In not more than 3 U of a 19” rack, the power pack delivers 3000Watt. This was only possible to achieve by choosing the most demanding and available semiconductors and by an optimized construction combined with fast monitoring and regulation.

The controller is a fully digital PID controller with 100 kHz Sample rate with 16bit resolution of set point and 24bit resolution of actuating variable. The innovative controller design with automatically offset correction achieves an excellent accuracy of 0.2% of max. load current combined with extremely short transient time.

One of the big advantages is the opportunity to adapt the controller characteristics according to the attributes of the control path. The user easily can adjust the rise time in the range of 50μs…2s or optimizing the controller performance by varying the coefficients of the controller. That means, the load can be adapted fully flexible by the user to the situation of the load circuitry.

The novel control concept offers excellent flexibility. The load directly can be controlled from a computer by USB, IEEE, RS232, LAN (Ethernet) or an isolated analogue interface or via an operation panel which communicates via a Bluetooth.

Summing up, this is a generation of DC loads which fulfils the high requirements of each customer and is an excellent choice for complex test devices or single test places.

Since many years Zentro-Elektrik DC loads are a leader in demanding applications such as Fuel Cells, Accumulators, Power Supplies, Generators and Motors.
